Into the Maze

A secret government facility buried deep beneath the scorched earth that holds the secrets to humanity’s past. It is euphemistically called the Maze by participants of Project Psyche because of what it looks like in cyber-space.

Spaces within the Maze (Doomsday Vault) that are data points which reveal the secrets of Earth’s past. They include Ariadne’s tropical island, Ariadne’s fantastical bioluminescent forest escape, and the satyr’s idyllic vineyard.

They are the mental relays for those who travel into the Doomsday Vault. They keep the Travelers safe by mitigating the mental strain of digitizing the human consciousness. One example is Ariadne’s cousin, Brutus, who acts as a Nexus for Theseus. Ariadne herself does not need this due to her coding prowess.
